Aim and scope

The Scientific Journal for Quality and Excellence in Education (SJQEE) is a peer-reviewed international scientific journal published twice a year under the auspices of UNESCO. It publishes institutional scientific research on the practice of quality and excellence in education, with the aim of enriching specialized scientific knowledge on topics related to quality and excellence in education, its themes, elements, standards, and data-based indicators. The journal represents a qualitative shift in institutional scientific research based on precise theoretical frameworks, experiments and practices, and in-depth analysis based on data quality.

The journal's outputs seek to enable a culture of quality in education through the approaches of modern educational technologies, contemporary curricula and teaching methods, educational policies and administration, governance and educational planning, educational psychology, information science (Library, documentation, knowledge management and data-based educational decision-making support), business management principles to enable quality and excellence in education, information technology (Data science, internet of things and artificial intelligence), quantitative and qualitative methods, statistical frameworks and  applied statistics to allow academic institutions to shift from reactive grading to proactive interventions to enhance quality and excellence in education, at various educational levels from early childhood to general, technical and vocational, university and lifelong learning.

Through the journal's outputs, the center aims to disseminate the culture of quality and excellence as educational, social, administrative, technological, and applied science practices to promote them in educational institutions through scientific research.

The quality we mean is the processes involved in the continuous improvement of educational services, and the continuous and institutional interest in raising the level of outcomes of teaching and learning processes in line with the ever-changing requirements of the labor market and life. The excellence we seek is the ultimate result of the creativity and innovation of these ongoing processes. Quality and excellence in education are built together on educational, social, administrative, technological and applied science principles that are necessary and complementary to each other. They are embodied in the person who acquires basic specialized and life knowledge and skills, and can work decently, with his ability and desire for continuous lifelong learning, and his acquisition of civilized values, critical thinking, tolerance and coexistence with others who are culturally, religiously and socially different.

The journal's main publishing scope focuses on a wide range of pivotal topics, most notably:

  1. Modern educational technologies.
  2. Contemporary curricula and teaching methods.
  3. Educational administration, governance, and contemporary forward-looking and strategic educational planning.
  4. The educational foundations as the cornerstone that defines the philosophy of education, and educational policies as an executive umbrella that translates that philosophy into realistic goals and strategies to enable quality and excellence in education.
  5. Library science, documentation, information, knowledge management, and data-based educational decision-making support to enable quality and excellence in education.
  6. Employing information technology, its systems, data science, artificial intelligence, and predictive analysis to enable the axes, elements, standards, and indicators of quality and excellence in education using contemporary technological mechanisms.
  7. Employing business management principles to enable quality and excellence in education: application of Total Quality (TQM), strategic management and planning (vision formulation, project management, and governance), human resource management and leadership excellence, operational and technical excellence, statistics and data analysis).
  8. Employing quantitative, qualitative methods and statistical frameworks to enable quality and excellence in education.
  9. Using applied statistics to enhance quality and excellence in education, transforming abstract traditional learning into practical, data-driven frameworks that improve student performance, institutional efficiency, and curriculum relevance. By treating educational challenges as measurable systems, applied statistics bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world implementation.

The Scientific Journal for Quality and Excellence in Education also focuses on sub-topics and methodologies of scientific research that are extremely important in quality and excellence in education, including:

 

  1. Early childhood issues, general education (primary, middle and secondary, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), university education, lifelong learning and skills, including literacy programs, and adult education, as enablers of quality and excellence in education.
  2. Mechanisms for preparing an empowered teacher, training trainers and educational leaders, and developing the capabilities of university faculty members.
  3. Education for sustainable development, global citizenship, health, well-being, quality of life, inclusion and education for vulnerable populations.
  4. Coordinating the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and all its other goals affecting it.
  5. Employing data for academic program output analyses and labor market analyses to ensure quality and decent work for graduates from academic and professional institutions.
  6. Education 5.0 or (Education 5.0), refers to the modern wave in the world of education, which aims to integrate advanced technologies (such as artificial intelligence and the internet of things) with a deep focus and the full preservation of the human dimension and moral values (humanized education, personal learning, critical thinking and creativity, sustainability and responsibility, and lifelong learning).
  7. Fairness in educating students of all categories, in line with global trends in terms of mental health and supporting marginalized groups, people with special needs, the talented and outstanding, and others.
  8. Employing scientific research methodologies that are a priority in scientific publishing, including but not limited to:
