UNESCO played an active role in shaping the post-2015 education agenda through the “Education 2030” framework. As part of the broader process of aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Incheon Declaration—formulated during the World Education Forum in Korea in May 2015—entrusted UNESCO with leading and coordinating global efforts in education and serving as the focal point in this field.
The designated center is committed to supporting the achievement of these goals, particularly Goal 4, and works to integrate and strengthen the alignment between its programs and projects and Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) of the 2030 Agenda.
