RCQE participated in the workshop on “Education 2030 in the GCC and Yemen: Focus on Population related Indicators for Educational Planning” under the auspices of Dr. Azzam Al-Dakhail, the Saudi Minister of Education.
The workshop is organized by The Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States in cooperation with UNESCO Regional Office in Doha, UNESCO Institute for Statistics, and UN Population Department. The time frame of the workshop is from 8 to 10 September 2015. The Workshop focused on the population indicators for education planning.
RCQE participation in this workshop comes out of its sincere efforts to cooperate with the relevant international organizations and regional centers to get benefit of their experiences. The ultimate goal of this cooperation is to develop education quality.
RCQE Director General, Dr. Husam Zaman, headed a session on population indicators and their relation to educational KPIs. The meeting also discussed several significant issues including Strengthening Capacity to develop the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Framework 2030 for GCC and Yemen in addition to the proposed indicators to assess the countries’ achievements in the coming period in accordance with goals of education 2030.
