H.E Eng. Hussain Al Hammadi, UAE Minister of Education, praises RCQE training program on “Building and Measuring Educational Indicators” delivered by RCQE expert in the premises of the Regional Center for Educational Planning (RECP) in Sharjah from 26 to 28 February 2018.
Eng. Al Hammadi stated that the program is targeting officials of the Arab Ministries of Education for building their capacity to define, analyze, interpret, and use educational indicators for planning, monitoring, and evaluation purposes.
H.E Eng. Al Hammadi highlighted the necessity of improving education systems. “Cooperative efforts should be exerted nationally and regionally to unify visions and address defects in these systems by introducing the best contemporary practices”, he added.
Within the same context, H.E Dr. Husam Zaman, RCQE Director General, elaborated that the program targets planning and statistics staff in the Arab Ministries of Education and is provided for free by RCQE under the supervision of international experts. “the main purpose of the program is to enhance the capacity of the targeted officials and raise their awareness about the key role of educational indicators” Dr. Zaman Added.
Moreover, Dr. Zaman pointed out that the program provides an analysis framework contains the main used and required indicators to monitor and evaluate education policies. He also added that it aims at tailoring a practical tool to be used by relevant staff in the Arab ministries of education to critically analyze and discuss the evidence-based policies with their national counterparts and other partners.
