RCQE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Ministry of Education to enhance relations and cooperation channels. The purpose of the MoU is to support Ministry efforts for enhancing education quality of early childhood and to develop and evaluate policies and programs in alignment with objectives and strategies of both parties.

Dr. Abdulrahman Almedaries, RCQE Director General, represented RCQE, while Dr. Haya Al-Awad, Deputy Minister of Education, represented the Ministry.

The MoU cooperation scope includes conducting developmental and assessment research and studies, developing capacity building programs and policies and organizing national and international training programs and workshops. All these activities will be implemented within the frame of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG4 “Quality Education for All”.

Moreover, both parties agreed on building an international model of early childhood education centers in the kingdom based on kindergarten teacher training centers, which UNESCO had already contributed to their establishment. These centers will be transformed into early childhood centers for applying the future national transformation projects concerned with the quality development of k-3 education.

The MoU included as well cooperation on translating relevant publications from and into English aiming for the benefit of Arab countries.
