The Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education have been elected to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Executive Committee of UNESCO International Teachers Task Force.

Dr. Husam Zaman, RCQE Director General, confirmed that being a member in this significant committee reflects the leadership of KSA in Education reform and its pioneer role in the dissemination of Quality and Excellence Culture in Education systems regionally and internationally. He pointed out that the International Task force will collect, monitor and analyze comparable data about national and sub national teacher policies across developed and developing countries.

Dr. Zaman elaborated that 27 case studies will be conducted in this project, and RCQE will conduct the Saudi case study. RCQE will also be a member in the technical committee concerned with drafting the final Synthesis report. In addition, RCQE will participate in the relevant workshops and meetings and will review reports submitted by Arab Countries.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the project aims at providing a global picture of what countries consider in their policies and practices as key requirements of teaching as a profession in addition to offering a set of references to countries and education partners to reinforce teacher effectiveness and teaching to achieve an inclusive and equitable quality education.
